Uh Oh, they are gonna start serving papers via the Internet.

I can see this taking off. Not that there won't be loopholes but I can really see this picking up speed over here eventually.

In what reportedly is the first such use of the Internet authorized by any court in the country, the United Kingdom's High Court has permitted an injunction on an anonymous blogger to be served via Twitter.

The injunction demands that the unknown blogger stop impersonating on the Internet a well-known lawyer, Donal Blaney, who is a prominent right-wing blogger, reports an IDG News Service article published by PC World. Blaney is the principal of Griffin Law, a firm of solicitors based in Hawkhurst, England.

The partner's impersonator set up a Twitter account that featured Blaney's own blog photo and links to Blaney's own blog posts. Then he or she tweeted in a writing style that sounds like Blaney's, the tech magazine article recounts.

Although parody can be legally permissible, the Twitter account was intended to make readers think the tweets were Blaney's, he contends, and his lawyer, barrister Matthew Richardson, objected to the claimed impersonation on copyright grounds, according to the news service and a post on the law firm's website.

Blaney says he sought the court's permission to serve the injunction via Twitter because he figured this would be faster than waiting for the site's California-based administrators to take down the offending account if he complained directly to them.

The judge who approved the Twitter service was familiar with the social networking micro blog site, Blaney said, and also noted a 2008 ruling by an Australian court that service could be made via Facebook, the magazine article explains.

"The rules already allow for electronic service of some documents, so that they can be sent by e-mail, and it should also be possible to use social networks," solicitor Danvers Baillieu tells the BBC News"

Sue me if this is old news. @ getting 'served' electronically. I don't get served papers like that so I would have no clue.

I do occasionally interview folks so browse around. I don't call them interviews though. I call 'em 'Chats' 'cause that is usually what is like. Not claiming to be some CNN reporter over here. Just asking questions that many of us want answers to and some questions that some of you don't THINK TO ASK OR THINK CERTAIN FOLKS ARE GOING THROUGH/THINKING ABOUT/DOING. I like to dig deep so if you agree to an interview, be prepared. I might ask you anything. I probably will stay away from the majority of the 'standard' questions though. Just bare that in mind.

The popular posts usually contain enough POSITIVE examples of how this works great for both THE BLOG and the subjects of the posts. Usually, those post are a DIRECT RESULT of support from the young lady via a posting on THEIR OWN TWITTER, blog or Facebook. So thank you for that IN ADVANCE (and if you have done so in the past..) for that mutual support. It is appreciated. Truly.

Oh and one more thing...

I DON'T WATER MARK PICTURES THAT I DIDN'T EITHER TAKE OR WERE NOT ORIGINALLY GIVEN TO ME. I have seen folks RUSH TO DO IT and it is pretty damm sad. Not my style. I am not a fool. I know that most of what I do in regards to pictures can be replicated so there is no need to act like I'm out here doing more than what it is. I provide a space to see a collection of pictures in that regard. Nothing more. Nothing less. Watermarking pictures that aren't 'mine per say kinda comes off a little pompous to me. That's just me though..

I want you to be able to tell when I do TAKE THE PICTURE without me saying as much. What do I look like watermarking your pictures up if I didn't 'take them'?

You see the watermark on a picture here with the blog's name in it? Then you know I took the picture in some fashion. Screen shot. With the camera phone. With the Canon or the web cam. Or it was given to me for exclusive use. (At least at press time)
