Now for some, the fact that he was doing a solo album is a bit of news....rather...they were of the 'We will wait and see' approach of it. From the early whispers of it from other blogs to the INTERVIEW I DID WITH HIM HERE when he again alluded to a solo joint coming, the skepticism reigned on. Now that we have a RELEASE DATE, on the six anniversary of the release of The Minstrel Show no less, I think the anticipation will build ten fold and the skepticism will die down considerably. I am very happy that the World now knows some of the things that I have had to 'hold close to the vest' in regards to this brother. Having sat down and listened to the 'Sitdown' he and 9th had in NYC recently over and over only reaffirms the feelings that I have the upcoming project will be special. September 13th isn't EXACTLY THAT FAR AWAY, especially when you consider the fact that Phonte is CURRENTLY TOURING WITH his group (The Foreign Exchange). Again though, this is Phonte we are talking about. This is how him and 9th work. Get in, get to work, bang out the project, on to the next one in HIGH QUALITY. Looking forward to see what comes out of this organic process. I know I keep going back to the night that I saw them walk into the studio in Durham for the 'FE Unplugged' event (That's probably the BEST WAY I CAN DESCRIBE THAT EVEN..Can't wait for it to be released so ya'll can see it for yourselves! ) but YOU COULD SEE JUST FROM THAT BRIEF TWENTY MINUTES OR SO that the 'vibe' between them was still there. So it is no surprise to me that he is allowing 9th's sound to create the landscape of what the album will sound like in regards to any other production work having to 'fit in' to whatever 9th's beats create vibewise. Can't wait to see it all come together on record.
Interesting. Now I wonder what that means for those versions that ALWAYS seem to 'fall off the truck' (THAT MADDEN GIVES TO THE TOP BALLERS SO THEY CAN BE AHEAD OF THE CURVE...)
Should be interesting. Not exactly opposed to it as now you won't have to wait for a patch to fix some of the roster. I would think. I know it is for marketing reasons though as well. @ move. I imagine to the 'casual' fan/observer, this is ALL ABOUT THE LOCKOUT. I don't think so though if the move is a permanent one. Not gonna lockout every year yanno? This was probably in the works for some time.

I will keep this brief. I like the album. Standout tracks are Walk Alone, Radio Daze,Now Or Never and The Day...This is not including the tracks I have talked about here already or currently play. In English, I like the majority of the album a lot. I don't want to ruin it for people on this scale by talking too much about it. Just go get it. Unless you are one of those 'fans' who likes for them to stay in same lane they were in when you first discovered them. I am not one of those fans. I know they need to do what they need to eat and I happen to enjoy how they are doing it. Sue me.

" I sent in the photo and story about the Motorola Shadow that my buddy found in the gym. I just thought I’d send along an update if you were at all interested. First of all he wanted everyone to know that he is not a dwarf or a midget—despite the fact that he does have small hands. Now, believe what you want but this photo is real, it was taken by him with his camera phone while holding the Shadow (hence the awkward holding of the Shadow). One thing that he noticed in all the comments was that people wanted to know if there was a “sliding keyboard,” but he said to me that “nope, there’s no sliding keyboard. It’s all touchscreen. The interface is REALLY easy to use and this is the fastest phone I have EVER used.”
That all aside, my buddy was bombarded by calls and emails from Verizon corporate and they even showed up at his house pretty soon after you guys posted the story. He was asked to attend a few meetings in which he had to tell them exactly what happend and then they fired him.
If you would like to know more about how Verizon’s security works, try this on for size: They fired him yesterday (5/25/10) at about 1 or 2pm but they didn’t take his keys or keycard to the gym until they showed up at his house at about 3pm today (5/26/10). Real smart Verizon, fire someone because his friend leaked a photo of a phone that one of your executives lost and let the employee you just fired keep his keys for 24 hours.
Let me be clear. I need you to SUPPORT the artist whose music you see/hear in the music player here. Some of them are my FRIENDS!! I want them to make money. So while I may put up a link here or there that they didn't 'endorse', it is only out of the love for their music and the fact that I want you to SUPPORT THEM. So please do. Seek out their music. Some of them are VASTLY UNDERRATED and your FAVORITE MUSICIAN loves them. So it isn't 'talent'. It is exposure. Which is all I am trying to give them here..
