ODESSA, Texas -- Officials say a 22-year-old man accused of posing as a high school student and basketball star in West Texas was arrested Friday on suspicion of sexual assault, his third arrest in four days.

Sgt. Gary Duesler of the Ector County Sheriff's Office said Guerdwich Montimer was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony, and was being held in the Ector County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

Montimer was arrested after a 16-year-old girl in Odessa told police and school district officials she had sex with him at a home in August when she thought he was 15-year-old Jerry Joseph, said Odessa police Cpl. Sherrie Carruth.

The video is pretty clear. He didn't do anything. They said he walked up to them and hit the horse and an officer. Now if you think he did that, walked away AND THEN THE VIDEO came on and they handed him his ass, you are AN ASS. Period. You saw the way they hopped on his ass. Me thinks they didn't need much of a reason to get to busting heads.

Now we don't know 'What he said...' to the officers but any FOOL could see he was out like a light after about the third or fourth blow. Yet they continued.

BETHESDA, Md. - Former Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge and the grandfather of the 21-year-old University of Maryland student who was captured on video being taken down and hit unconscious by police in riot gear is speaking out.

Jim McKenna believes the officers involved should be prosecuted. He said his grandson, Jack, has at least eight staples in his head, a wrist injury and possibly long-term psychological damage.

Jim McKenna believes the video leaves little to the imagination.

"If the three of us, you and I and the cameraman, were to go out with batons and march out onto the street and bludgeon the first person we run into, which is essentially what they did, you can rest assure we would be tried, convicted and sent to jail," McKenna.

PITTSBURGH — The Steelers have another off-the-field distraction, courtesy of a high-profile player whose four-year pro career has been checkered with legal problems.

Wide receiver Santonio Holmes is being sued by a woman from Florida for alleged battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

According to the lawsuit, filed last week, Anshonoe Mills claims Holmes grabbed her face in an Orlando nightclub called “Rain” and then threw a glass filled with an alcoholic beverage at her face, cutting the woman’s eye in the process.

The lawsuit also claims that Holmes and a police officer at the scene pressured the woman to not file charges.

Mills is seeking more than $15,000 in damages.

The alleged incident was in a VIP section of the nightclub on March 7, two days after a 20-year-old college student from Georgia filed a sexual assault complaint against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett offered the obligatory “no comment” statement regarding the lawsuit filed against Holmes by saying, “We’re gathering information and have no further comment at this time.”

The lawsuit filed against Holmes marks the fourth time he’s made news for off-the-field incidents.

In May 2006, he was arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., on a disorderly-conduct complaint. Charges were later dropped.

In June 2006, Holmes was arrested in Columbus, Ohio, on charges of domestic violence and assault. Those charges were also dropped.

In October 2008, Holmes was arrested in Pittsburgh and charged by police with possession of marijuana. That charge, too, was dropped.

In addition to those charges, right before Super Bowl XLIII in 2009, Holmes admitted that he sold drugs as a teenager when he lived in Belle Glade, Fla.

Holmes, who turned 26 on March 3, was the Steelers’ first-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He was named the Most Valuable Player in Super Bowl XLIII after catching the winning touchdown in a 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

We ALL know how this is gonna turn out. Either he is going to under do it or over do it. He rarely gets it RIGHT. Not that 'right' would be on the minds of most people on either side of the fence. We have those of us who want him 'lynched' like someone of color usually gets when the law is even 'mentioned' and then there are those of us who want NO ACTION. Guess ole boy can't win.

I am on the 'lets get some charges filed/look at the evidence/see if he is guilty side with the understanding that this is the second time so you could at least talk to him' side of things...

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he plans to meet with Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger about the star's off-field problems.

Goodell already has spoken with team owners about Roethlisberger, who is accused of assaulting a 20-year-old college student in a Georgia nightclub on March 5. Roethlisberger's attorney says the quarterback committed no crime.

Goodell says the league "takes this issue very seriously," and that he is "concerned that Ben continues to put himself in this position."

Roethlisberger also is being sued by a woman who claims he raped her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel. He denies those allegations and has asked for counter-damages.
