..the disrespect for his game is laughable.

I know it is hard for some of you 'youngsters' to fathom how good he was because..well...there is NO PLAYER in the NBA like him. No one playing now or in the past, was a TRUE POWER FORWARD at 6'4ish. Dunking on 7 footers OFF A TWO FOOT POST AND PLANT MOVE ON THE REG. Or spinning off a baseline, landing on two feet and STILL DUNKING ON CATS. That doesn't happen like that from your POWER FORWARD now. Even when you play Lebron at the 4, he doesn't DO THAT 'cause his post work is in progress. Charles ALWAYS PLAYED IN THE POST so he had an ALL AROUND POST GAME.

I love how everyone loves to 'dismiss' his game due to his lack of chips. He was one of my favorite players ever. Ever. Everyone likes to talk about Pip dunking on Ewing..There is one in here of Chuck doing him in...David Robinson gets some too.. remember...Chuck was MAYBE 6'4.. Definitely not 6'6 as listed and even if he was 6'6..HE PLAYED POWER FORWARD against cats who were 6'10 and up on the reg... Foot work was immaculate.



I also think folks forgot that Chuck had a 'handle'. Peep the highlights. He was not just some big dude lumbering up the court.

I guess this is usually the time that I give the 'young, grow up and when will we learn' speech. It would be warranted too. Except that I am not sure I know too many full on grown ups who haven't done these speeds on a freeway when in comparable cars. Doesn't make it right though now does it?

If you don't know these two names, don't worry you will. Both of these young men will BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT SOON ENOUGH. One is the 'future of baseball' while the other is said to be pretty much a lock to go to the League in basketball. Both are leaving school for preparation in their respective sports to go Pro before their senior years in high school.

Bryce will be attending JUCO after getting his GED to be eligible to do so. He is basically been THE PROSPECT in Major League Baseball in America for quite some time. If the boy is that good, I say it is a smart investment. He is scheduled to be the 1st round pick in that draft. I have friends who got drafted and they were PRETTY good and made out fine. Education and signing bonus given to them. Here's a hint, one of them plays for the Camden River Sharks now and and attended the Unv. of Miami. None of the people I know were the number overall pick either. I think the boy will be fine as long as he either pans out or is smart with his dough. It isn't like he ISN'T GOING TO SCHOOL EITHER. Lets not forget that.

Jeremy is taking it a step further. He is actually going to GO PRO now and hopes to play in Europe a la Brandon Jennings. This may seem odd to us Americans but QUITE HONESTLY, that is how all of those Euro cats you see balling here in the NBA do it. They have been playing professionally since age 14 for the most part. So it is NOTHING NEW to them. Of course, we are all going to be in an uproar. He is spoiled. He is this. He is that. Look, like people have always said before, if that is what you are destined to do, it will work out. If not, you will adjust. For every six or so Korelone Youngs and his like that had to do something else, we got a Kobe Bryant or a Kevin Garnett or hopefully a Brandon Jennings. The young man plans to go to college while there as well as get his GED prior to going too.

I want you guys, especially those of you who have REALLY regular jobs (no knock either) to do the math with me. @ those who think this is stupid.

Take $40k per year and see how many years it is going to take you to make a million? We aren't talking AFTER TAXES either. Before.

After you finish, you tell me just how 'dumb' these two young men are then for taking the chance they are. Both will have GEDs. Both will be taking college credits. One abroad at that!

We did it!! I know you know already

but we finally redeemed ourselves to the basketball world and won the Gold medal. I was glad the game was close personally so that we could 'earn it' a bit. Even though they were down the pg, they still boasted several NBA players that play at a pretty good level in the "L". Wade is back! You can drop the 'bronze' off of Lebron's name and Chris Paul, Chris Bosh and Kobe showed why they are the stars of their teams. The young phenom Howard was pretty impressive too. While the Fernandez dunk won't make me forget this one... ....It was still very impressive.


Good job Hillary and Bill. Way to move to the side and let Barack do Barack while still supporting him. Great speech by Hills and a pretty good one by Bill tonight. I am not unhappy with the choice of VP as he needs Biden's experience and he is not a bad politician in his own right. He can hold his own.

That Jeezy album is IMPRESSIVE. The Inspiration was a good album. The first joint, Thug Motivation was a classic of course. This one right here (The Recession)will be a classic too. Don Cannon laced Jeezy as did Shawty Red and Drumma Boy. He is still motivating but he is touching on real life subjects as well. I am sure that at this point you have heard the joint with Nas where he speaks on Obama (My President). Vacation is on point too. I believe there is a video out for that right now. It is out there but this is one that you won't find me linking up. I know you will probably find it on your own but I am hoping he does Wayne like numbers (and he should) as his album is better than Wayne's (and that is saying something 'cause Wayne's was a monster in it's own right.) It has that 'no skip' factor that I look for in a album where all the songs are hot and you just put it on and let it ride.

I have not reviewed Paper Trail (T.I) in hopes that some of what I am hearing isn't the actual album. You can take that how you wanna but I only like 3 outta the 5 joints I have heard.


I keep hearing rumblings about Solange's new joint on the site I frequent but I will reserve judgment until I actually hear it. I am sure she is talented and it is fine. We will see.

There was no need for him to even come to Green Bay, for them to 'distract their team (I hate that term..), or any of the other mess that came out of this. This offer has probably been on the table since it was rumored he was coming back and they could have told Brett flat out this is what it is..Silly.

Ooh, we got tested. @ the Olympic Basketball Team. Last I checked, that was what was supposed to happen with these games wasn't it? We increased the level of comp with each game. It was SUPPOSED TO GET HARDER. Hello. That being said, we should still be expected to win and if we don't it should be a disappointment. Looks like Chris and Deron have rightfully taken Jason's spot for now but we will probably need J-Kidd's poise at some point.

What to talk about today? Hmmmmmm..

We could start with that very good Team USA showing on Friday night. Lebron didn't play but I am not overly concerned about his status. The person whose status I was worried about was D-Wade's and he showed that he is on the way to being 'back'. Slashing drives. Jumpers. Steals and thunderous dunks. In addition, I didn't see any grimacing when he landed after he jumped. He looked happy and pain free. That's the REAL ISSUE. The backcourt of Williams and Paul looked like they had grown up playing with each other and they compliment each other well. I am a lil worried about the frontcourt size wise but I also know that in FIBA ball, you don't need a 'Shaq like" player to win. All those guys are usually 6-8ish to 6-11ish who can all shoot and handle. They don't usually post up too often and they move a lot so I think that we should be aight.

While I understand that she uprooted her life he paid some of her debt and she also neglected to reveal (or he didn't know) that she had even more debt. Unbelievable that they would award her that amount of money. I could see her getting her part of the money back if she chipped in but she didn't even do that. What next, people are going to be able to sue their high school sweethearts for promises made of having a 'happily ever after' during the graduation ceremony? This is ridiculous. I would love to know who some of these people on the jury are what types of mistakes they have made. Hopefully, someone sues them over something like this and then they can see how it feels.
