In the past few days, you probably noticed two things on my main account. 

I've been sparse in the posting. 

I've posted links up about 'Suite 302' or pictures of me IN THE BARBERSHOP like I am 19-28 again..

Well, allow me to explain briefly what is going on. 

Carolinaware has ALWAYS been 'involved' with Suite 302. That's it. That's all I have to say. Everything else is on a need to know basis. Just know I have a vested interest.* 

Now those of you that live OUTSIDE OF THE AREA PROBABLY HAVE A QUESTION. 

What is Suite 302? 

It is an EXISTING barbershop/hair salon in Newark, Delaware. 


Location?

2431 Pulaski Hwy, Newark, DE 19702 

The location is NEW but it is an existing and THRIVING business. I've always been 'involved' with the business by the way but now I am just going to be a bit more visible with it. Hence the pictures 'from the barbershop' you keep seeing being posted up. (They aren't going to stop btw...Just an FYI..lol) 

Of course, with my own area of expertise being 'social media', I will be handling the bulk of that for the shop. So, yes, you will see more posts about that here. Information about events surrounding the shop, collaborations and SHOWS and such SPONSORED BY THE SHOP and CarolinaWare's Own.

Here is sample of another barber's work in the shop... Black.. Everybody knows a 'Black' right? Well, this is the one that I know...lol (Yes, his nickname is Black...)

For those of you who live in the area (Delaware/Maryland, Pennsylvania,etc..) , come on down! For those of you who don't but find yourself in the Greater Philadelphia/Baltimore area and in need of a haircut or hair salon needs, HIT ME UP. We are located conveniently between those two locations.


I see a lot of texts, captions on Instagram and the like about the location of the shop so I'm going to give some directions ... 

Here are the directions to the NEW SHOP FROM THE OLD SHOP. So for those of you who have been there before, you can use THESE DIRECTIONS to get you where you need to be or you can scroll down and use some of the other maps to find your way to the new location if you so desire. We are literally 3 miles down the road.

Directions are available below for the those of you who have NEVER been to the shop and would like to visit. I've provided directions from Philadelphia, Wilmington, Delaware, and Cecil County Maryland. I am going to assume that you can pick up the directions from your location if you are in the somewhere in the middle of the locations that I have chosen.

I guess you knew that probably wouldn't have 'mattered' in the grand scheme of things though. "Cause the content was going to be put up regardless..So you tried to hack it. Real cute. So now, when I post things up, I get a 'content' warning on things that aren't 'content' warning worthy. Do you not fucking read? Every time I put something up that isn't 'safe', I make that announcement. Wait, let me guess..you didn't 'think that what you did would cause that much 'damage' right? FOH. You knew. However I'm no rookie. LOL

Thank you all for coming to the blog...CHANGES COMING....things about the blog..etc..etc..

If you are one of those folks who have been here since the VERY BEGINNING, you remember the days of STAGNANT activity here. Struggling to find content. Sparse visitors. Maybe....MAYBE...two posts a week. Yeah, I remember. TRUST ME. I remember it like it was yesterday. Well we have evolved a bit but I am STILL not satisfied with where the blog is now. I am THANKFUL for how it looks but not ready to stand pat..Soooooooo.....I will try to up the ante even more. Here is a summary of the blog and what lies ahead...

You probably have noticed SUBTLE changes in the blog. A new sidebar, courtesy of Blogger actually, some more interviews and the like. I want to CHANGE what the TOP POSTS are on the blog. I feel like in order to do that I need your help. I have gotten tweets, emails and the like about the 'content'. Now I am, in case you didn't know, a MALE so this is a VERY MALE BASED SITE. I do recognize though, that we are a fickle breed and that some sort of CATERING to the many females who do come here is probably in order. I was going to try and wait until I made this an actual website but I may just reconsider.

What will this mean to my male followers? Well, not much if you watch porn/what have you honestly. Which I know most of you do. You are probably gonna just have to 'get over it' if more men start showing up on these pages though 'cause ya'll are not clicking the ads. (Yes, I know WHO CLICKS them and who doesn't..) In addition, you are not the only ones who come here. Am I talking about PENIS SWINGING FROM THE POSTS? No. C'mon man, I HAVE TO LOOK AT THIS SHIT TOO so nope. This is no more Playgirl than it is Playboy so no. What you might see though is an increase or articles with males with pics. That's what you might see. We will see how it plays out. I don't even know how EXACTLY I am going to tackle it either. Again, it isn't something that I would EVEN 'look' for so...(hint..hint...SUBMIT IDEAS OF WHO YA'LL LIKE AND YOU KNOW LADIES...)

That is not the only change though. I often allude to just how much I HOLD BACK on the posts of the females. I am about to lift that a tad. I don't post a lot of stuff that I know I have seen HOURS, SOMETIMES DAYS before those other places that I see ya'll link up in your Facebook statuses, your Twitter or hear ya'll talk about in general. I want in on that traffic so yeah....You might see EVEN MORE than you have already seen. See? Compromise gentleman (and ladies who come to see ladies). So you will DEFINITELY be seeing more and not just of the same people either. Gonna keep branching out with the new finds. I will try to provide Twitter names in the titles (I am sure you have noticed the @'s in the titles) as I can find them but if YOU KNOW THEIR TWITTER NAME, forward the links to them. I have not gotten ONE negative tweet back in regards to that. It is all promo and everyone wins. My goal is to change who/what the most looked at posts are on the blog. Hopefully you can help me with that.

Promotions with other blogs & with 'known' people. I don't want to call them 'celebs' but you basically get what I am saying. I do promotions with other blogs, shout them out and all of that but that is another area where I have been kinda holding back. I am in the process of talking with several folks to see what we can do to help each other out. So look out for that.

The rants......They won't be stopped. Actually, they will increase too. I know that might mean addition by subtraction for some of you though. Its aight with me. I will live with it. There are people that LOVE IT WHEN I SPEAK so I will continue to do so. Never seen one? Type of "Grown Folk Talk" up top in the Search box. See what you get....


'Speaking' on albums...I am not sure how many more of those I will do but I will DEFINITELY do that again. Great feedback and response on it. It will be done in the same manner as the FE joint so that may stop me from doing it with YOUR FAVORITE album.

My own personal pictures....I will probably start using this medium to put those up too as I am taking more and more shots I have deemed 'suitable' for public viewing.

Promotions for local artists/underground/not well known/etc will continue including the FORMAL introduction of someone I am GOING TO WORK WITH PERSONALLY if we can work out the kinks. Will I be shoving him down your throat? Naw. Will you see him and his group HERE? Absofuckinglutely. I will give you a hint. If you like 'classic' hip hop, you will enjoy him. If you don't want that, you may not. Obviously, if I put him on here, I will want you to like him but this won't be the only place he will be featured.



Continuation of spotlighting people, artist, bloggers, writers, and just all around good people on Twitter will still happen as long as Twitter is that go to medium. Some of you have read WAY TO MUCH into me spotlighting people so I had to fall back on it. I am quarterbacking. Not receiving. (See if you can figure out what I am trying to say....since you took the logic leap with me even spotlighting people to begin with...) If you point out more males, I will spotlight them too. I have spotlighted all the ones I know who are about shit WHO NEED IT (I know more but they don't need the press so..) so by all means, send me some more.

It is a place that different people come for different reasons. It is just that simple. Now if you are one of those people who come for the music and stuff, read that. If you come for things like I am about to post up now. Look at that. I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE THAT PEOPLE COME HERE PERIOD. It IS what I want. You have to understand though that WHATEVER REASON YOU COME HERE FOR, there are just as many people coming here who come for those other reasons that make you kinda 'skeptical' about coming here. Ya dig? All of my people don't follow me on Google. Most actually RSS feed so there are PLENTY MORE or some just come STRAIGHT TO THE SITE EVERY DAY. More even 'looking and lurking' on Facebook. Shoutout to some of ya'll. I know why you can't 'subscribe'. It is all good. Keep lurking. I see the addresses on my tracker. I know who is coming from where. I even made it easier for you. The lil 'visible' tracker is gone for the moment so you can 'lurk' in peace. Ya dig? Good. I guess this is a kind of a disclaimer for the many people that I have 'personally' suggested come here to view it for different reasons. I did a lot of that this weekend alone at the Roots Picnic and out and about in public this week for some reason.


This is DEFINITELY not about one person. I had some people who expressed some things they liked or didn't like and some people who were worried that what they DO LIKE would change as they see more and more subjects pertaining to other things that would suggest a switch in the 'game plan' To both of these sides I would like to say, that is the intent. It is supposed to be for everybody around who enjoys different things. Sometimes it will get real 'intense', sometimes it will be just a rant, other times it will be pictures (REALLY EXPLICIT PICTURES sometimes), and while sometimes it will be about just what is going on. Just like life. I would no more invite anyone here (or suggest it) to anyone who was supposed to be able to make a conscious decision to handle whatever content is put here.

I do hope that you all stay and enjoy my lil space on the Internet though and get what it is you like out of it in the process.

...the site like this.) For those of you who are like 'What the hell is he talking about NOW?', I pulled the feed that sends blog posts to Facebook.

If you came over from Facebook, again my apologies for having to pull the feed there. I was debating doing so for awhile now. This will work out better though if you just come STRAIGHT here to begin with. I must tell you though, many of my posts were actually not 'pulled' straight to Facebook for a majority of reasons. Two of which were content and at my own personal barometer of what I wanted to show up in my timeline. I say that to say that the site is 'balls out'. (Words) First post X Get A Blog!!!

Well, I got one! Well hell, what to do now?

Yesterday, I had to face the news that my Brother's Mother passed. We were actually very cool. I am saddened for my brother but I am glad that she did not have to suffer. The real issue that I am worried about is our father. It is my understanding that the strain that existed between the two of them was resolved before her passing. That gave me hope that one day, I may be able to do the same for some of the people that I dislike. Now I have to see about getting down that way to see about him.

Today, I did something that I have been working on for a long time. Actually two things. I started this blog. That was important because I didn't know where I was going to host the blog or even how to go about it. I just kinda stumbled upon it. I feel a certain amount of pressure now though so it may take a minute before I make this blog known. I want to get used to actually just blogging and that is it. Not trying to force the entries. Or write what I think people want to hear. Just write it and leave it alone. which is hard for me to do because I am a perfectionist to a point. I don't like being unclear and I have a mind that runs a mile a minute. Speaking of which, the second thing I did was finally express how I was feeling about an incident(s) on a website. It won't rehash it but I felt I needed to go ahead and let how I was feeling.

I wonder just how open I will be here.

Well...looking back on this post and seeing where the blog is now is quite interesting. It has taken shape. People do come and visit. I have gotten a little personal but not too personal. Spoke on things that bothered me. Spoken on some things even before they made the 'news'. Even got 'swiped' on more than 5 occasions. (That means, someone from a major news publication/blog came in an 'took my content' and used it in their pieces. No, I won't say who. You figure it out.) So yes, things are coming along quite nicely. Why am I updating a back post? 'Cause I want to use it as a bio of sorts. Rather than clutter up the main page with this LENGTHY diatribe I am about to unleash, I will just link people to this post. Why? 'Cause I can! It is my blog. Enjoy it.
