Color me SURPRISED over here..
I just don't get it. By it I mean, why do you guys hold up hope, year after year, that something that has SO MANY PEOPLE DECIDING ITS FATE, is going to turn out a certain way? Do you LIKE pounding your head against the proverbial brick wall? Is that?
I mean, by ALL ACCOUNTS, YOU ALL HAVE PRETTY MUCH ADMITTED THAT THE MAGAZINE (AND COUNTLESS NUMBERS LIKE IT) ARE NOTHING MORE THAN 'PUPPETS'/'PAWNS' IN A GAME THAT MANY OF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS PLAY. I see some artists are tweeting that they 'turned them down' too 'cause it was a bad look to be on the list. Yeah..'cause Meek Mill was on the list and...nevermind...
Look, if you want to be underground, then don't be out here in these Twitter streets getting mad 'cause the 'overground' didn't shout you out. That is moronic. Especially when you are out 'discrediting the list' to begin with. Which many an underground rapper tends to do. Not ALL...many. If your words/feelings for XXL are coming from a place where you feel as though YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THAT LIST, the BEST REMEDY FOR THAT IS...
Make music that forces them to pay attention to you and in turn, makes them come to you. That's it.

Recruiting some of hip-hop’s most promising, up-and-coming talent doesn’t hurt Ross’s chance at claiming rap’s top spot on the food chain either. Asked why he decided to reach out and associate himself with such a broad range of MCs including Meek, Wale, Pill and Stalley, Rozay said it was important to help give other artists a chance he felt wasn’t offered to him when he started out.
“To me, it don’t matter where you from,” he says. “I come from a time and place when Miami wasn’t the most poppin’. Everybody wasn’t as eager to open they door, give you a hand. For me to be in this position, I want to make sure I do the opposite that a lot of these niggas did.”
XXL’s new executive editor, Jayson Rodriguez, moderated a roundtable discussion between MMG stars Wale, Meek and Pill, to find out about each rappers role in the crew, what MMG represents as a team and what gives them an advantage over their competitors.
“I think it’s a plus that everybody got their own fan base, they got their own thing rocking in their own city, and they got their own representation of what they stand for,” Pill says. “So when everyone comes together, that’s all the fan bases combined. It’s a blessing to be able to rock with a bunch of different guys that are passionate about the craft and that know where they going and actually can foresee the future, when it comes to their music. I think that gives us a stronghold and a bit of longevity. And kind of an advantage also.”

I'm not gonna hype it up like most people who have posted it as I think the shot was more at the magazine for leaving him than at the rappers but you NEVER KNOW. I KNOW ONE RAPPER on that list who will PROBABLY respond though and THAT could get REAL INTERESTING really fast. I wouldn't mind it actually but yeah..that's just me. anyhow....Here is the video....

Here is a tidbit from the blog entry about his solo album..
If there is anything to know about Tanya Morgan it should be that we are a group of solo artists. We didn’t expect to find recognition via an oddly named group with a woman on the album cover. Nah, we did that as an inside joke thinking that someday a Donwill fan would pick it up via hearsay and be blown away by the fact that there was this entire album recorded with Von Pea and Ilyas. Guess we ended up getting the order backwards; but who says you get to decide how the hands of fate choose to handle your life?
So here I sit being the first out the crew with an official retail release. We have all had solo albums drop since our introduction. Hell, I’ve had three of them myself, it’s just that none of them were ever released on this scale.
The biggest challenge in making this album, Tanya Morgan Presents: Don Cusack in High Fidelity, was handling everything single handedly from start to finish. From coordinating the cameos to sequencing the tracks, it was definitely one of the biggest undertakings of my career and to this day, stands as one of the most exhilarating things that I’ve ever done. Typically, Von Pea handles all of the musical grunt work leaving me to simply be able to enjoy the final product but on this go-round, it was all me.
